May I mix leftover exterior paint and interior paint together to paint an interior wall in my house?

I have a leftover gallon of interior paint and leftover 2 gallons of exterior paint. I wanted to mix them together to make a nice taupe color for my hallway. I dont want to waste any paint nor spend anymore money buying paint. What do you think?

Paints will mix as long they are the same base, water or oil, alkyd.

    Yes its ok to do

As long as you are mixing enamel with enamal, latex with latex, flat with flat, you should be fine. Try mixing a small amount in an old butter bowl and see how it mixes together.
